The role of Hygiene Operator - Backshift at Albert Bartlett in Airdrie involves maintaining high cleanliness standards in the company's chilled processed potato plant. Key responsibilities include cleaning machinery, parts, and tote bins while adhering to strict hygiene protocols, including color coding of cleaning equipment and completing relevant checklists. Operators are required to follow health and safety procedures, utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals, and ensure work areas are tidy after tasks are completed.
The position is full-time from 3:30 PM to midnight, Monday to Friday, with one Sunday shift per month. The hourly wage is £12.02, which includes a backshift allowance. - Adhering to colour coding rules as regards to all cleaning equipment.
- Filling in and signing all relevant checklists in relation to the job completed by you.
- Pay full attention to on site health & safety procedures for your work area and the job you are doing.
- Always leave area tidy, with all equipment rinsed and stored away correctly in proper area.
- Always use proper PPE when using chemicals and pay attention to manufacturer’s instructions for use and also on-site health & safety procedures.
