Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an Internal Inpatient Scheduling Clerk to join their Orthopaedic Directorate in Newport. This role is crucial for managing high-volume surgery schedules and requires strong organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with nursing, medical, and scheduling teams to adhere to Health Board access policies and ensure that all administrative Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met. Responsibilities include arranging patient admissions, pre-operative assessments, and liaising with various stakeholders to maintain efficient operations within a busy healthcare environment.

Candidates must be current employees of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and demonstrate previous clerical and customer service experience, ideally within an NHS setting. Essential qualifications include a good standard of education, knowledge of patient administration systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The role also values resilience and the ability to work under pressure. Welsh language proficiency is desirable, but not mandatory.
