We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic applicant to join our service as an Assistant Psychologist. Our assistant psychologists support service delivery across all of our teams, and so should expect to have a varied workload, supported by an experienced Clinical Psychologist. Whilst we have many different specialties within our service, we have the advantage of all being located in The Phoenix Centre, next to Raigmore Hospital, providing opportunity for both support and learning from colleagues across the service. The Highlands are a playground for those loving the outdoors. If you are not active coming here, you run the risk of becoming that way! There is stunning geography for you to explore but also urban amenities like Eden Court Theatre, restaurants, bars and shops in Inverness. If you enjoy (or see the benefit even!) of loch swimming, there are opportunities to go after work with the hardier members of our team. As a board we strive to ensure the environment is conducive to nurturing a positive culture, supported and delivered through NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
