NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a part-time Medical Secretary for Orthopaedics in Paisley, requiring 18.5 hours per week on a job share basis, specifically on Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays, and Fridays. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to a Consultant and their team, while acting as a central point of contact for staff, patients, and professionals regarding service inquiries and patient pathways. The role demands a high degree of initiative, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills, along with familiarity with NHS systems such as Trak and Clinical Portal.

Key responsibilities include prioritizing and scheduling workloads, assisting in the organisation of the Consultant's administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with NHS targets. The candidate should be proactive in taking ownership of their responsibilities and should engage in ongoing training as per service objectives.
