University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking part-time Medical Examiner Officers (MEO) for their expanding Medical Examiner Service in Brighton and Mid Sussex. The role involves supporting the Medical Examiner process and the Trust's mortality process, requiring strong administrative and communication skills for interaction with healthcare staff, families, and Coroner services. Candidates should have a good understanding of medical terminology and relevant clinical experience.

The MEOs will be responsible for scrutinizing inpatient deaths and reviewing community deaths as part of a national rollout. Training will be provided, and applicants can work across multiple sites, with opportunities for secondment considered.
