Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking motivated individuals for the role of Facilities Operative within Domestic Services, aimed at enhancing patient and customer experiences. The position involves varied responsibilities aligned with the needs of the service, requiring flexibility and the ability to cover rosters.
Key Details:
- Part-time roles: 18, 24, or 30 hours per week.
- Flexible working opportunities are available, contributing to a healthy work-life balance.
- Previous experience is preferred but not necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of specific duties as outlined in job schedules.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
- Adapt to changing service demands and work collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Basic general education is essential; literacy and numeracy skills required.
- Willingness to undergo necessary training and certification, including Basic Food Hygiene.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, along with dependability and time management.

We are looking for highly motivated and energetic individuals who are committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
The post-holder will undertake a range of specific work functions across the Facilities service.

Main duties of the job
The duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Education & Training

- Basic general education
- Literate & Numerate
- Willingness to undertake & complete the ABUHB facilities competency workbook (within 6 months)
- Willingness to undertake & complete statutory & mandatory training including Basic Food Hygiene certificate
- Willingness to undertake future training as required by the post
- BIFM/NVQ level 2

- Experience of working in a healthcare or hospitality environment
