Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work as a Full-time Validation Officer / Team Leader in the newly designed Gynaecology Outpatient Booking POD in the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. You will be responsible for the Validation of both RTT and non-RTT waiting lists and its stages for Gynaecology. You will also be responsible for the line management of the outpatient booking clerks. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work under pressure, have a good knowledge of the RTT rules and be an experienced Welsh PAS user.
Working to the Gynaecology Directorate, you will be well supported and encouraged to develop in this role.
This post is for 37.5 hours a week.

Responsible for validating outpatient, treatment and follow up waiting lists within the Directorate to support the achievement of organisational objectives and key Welsh Government targets. To administratively validate waiting lists of patients with open referral to treatment (RTT) pathways, determine the correct RTT clock status for each and update the UHB system, in order to ensure the RTT position is accurately reported.
Responsible for the line management of the outpatient booking team, managing annual leave and sickness.
To support the Service Administration Manager, liaising with departments involved in providing care and core services to ensure that planned patient treatment progresses smoothly and in a timely manner; supporting performance management and initiatives within the Directorate.
