The NHS Lothian is seeking a Patient Care Advisor to join the Links Medical Centre team in Edinburgh. This full-time position, part of the Administrative & Clerical Band 2, involves delivering exceptional reception services both in person and over the phone. Ideal candidates should possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, and the ability to handle patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment, managing a variety of tasks that include responding to patient queries, providing administrative support, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Applicants should be team-oriented, flexible, and self-motivated, with a willingness to prioritize work effectively. While previous experience in a primary care setting is preferred, it is not mandatory if the candidate has relevant skills and an interest in a public-facing healthcare role. The practice operates from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and candidates will have opportunities for regular support and appraisal from management.
