The Patient Experience Midwife at Barts Health NHS Trust will play a pivotal role in enhancing the patient experience for women and pregnant individuals by utilizing various feedback mechanisms, including birth reflections, partnerships with Maternity and Neonatal Voices, and patient surveys. This highly motivated and experienced midwife will analyze and share feedback to co-develop and improve services, while also coordinating aspects of quality and safety in alignment with the trust's Clinical Governance strategies. Their responsibilities will include managing patient concerns, implementing consistent feedback processes, and reporting data at local and divisional governance meetings.

The post holder will be a highly motivated and experienced midwife who will enhance a patient experience service that involves listening to women and pregnant people's experience of care via the birth reflections service, feedback from Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership, the Picker survey and Friends and Family Test. The post holder will share this feedback across the organisation and use the feedback to co-develop services to deliver an improved patient experience.
The post-holder will co-ordinate aspects of quality and safety in line with the maternity Clinical Governance strategy and the overarching Trust’s Clinical Governance framework. This will include supporting patient experience and staff experience.
The post holder will implement a consistent approach to the management of concerns raised by patients and their families, and patient feedback, to preserve quality whilst meeting the trust deadlines. They will consider innovative ways to capture patient experience of treatment and care, analyse and prepare the data, and present feedback to local and divisional governance meetings.
