The Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a motivated and proactive Administrative Support Officer for a fixed-term role within the CAMHs Neurodevelopmental Service in Newport. This position is exclusively available to current employees of the Health Board and will involve providing secretarial, administrative, and clerical support to the ND Clinician, including managing appointments and communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for general administrative tasks, acting as the first point of contact for inquiries, and ensuring confidentiality in handling sensitive information. The role requires flexibility, with potential work at various service sites.

A fixed term opportunity has arisen within the CAMHs Neurodevelopmental Service. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking individual to provide efficient secretarial, administrative and clerical support to the ND Clinician supporting with our current recovery model including booking appointments.
The post holder will be expected to exercise initiative and be able to carry out instructions to meet work activities i.e electronic scheduling of meetings, formatting and distribution of communications.
The successful candidate will also be required to work from other sites when needed to meet the needs of the service
Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
- To provide general secretarial/administrative duties to a high standard.
- To act as a first point of contact , dealing professionally and appropriately with telephone and other enquiries. The post holder will be required to work flexibly and independently, referring to their manager when necessary.
- Booking appointments in line with the Partial Booking Policy and using Welsh PAS and CWS.
- Responsible for general admin duties including typing of letters
- To ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity.
