Dorset HealthCare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Assistant Psychologists for its Mental Health Support Teams in Schools, located in Bournemouth, BCP, and North and East Dorset, for a 6-month fixed-term position to cover maternity leave. Applicants must hold an honours degree in Psychology and have experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges. The role involves providing one-on-one support and interventions, primarily utilizing low intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LI CBT) and counseling for children and young people in educational settings, while also engaging in group work and community wellbeing initiatives.

In this full-time role, you will collaborate closely with Education Mental Health Practitioners and other team members to deliver targeted interventions and contribute to the development of whole-school strategies. The successful candidate will have strong assessment skills to determine appropriate psychological interventions, with guidance from a qualified clinical psychologist.
