We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Respiratory and Sleep Physiology team.
The role will be based at Queens Hospital Burton with rotation to community diagnostic sites i.e. Sir Robert Peel, as necessary. The successful candidate will be trained in spirometry and other basic investigations to allow them to deliver these tests in outpatient clinics. There is also an element of administrative work involved to support the sleep service.
You will be required to take the ARTP spirometry certificate over a 6-12 month period. Initially you will be working under the supervision of a trained physiologist whilst you gain competency.
Would consider part time working 30 hours up to full time hours.
Main duties of this role include spirometry testing on patients. Setting up sleep equipment to be given out to patients either for diagnostic testing or treatment. Annual follow up clinics for patients treated with CPAP. Downloading returned test equipment, generating technical reports to aid diagnosis. General administration duties. Dealing with patient telephone calls on an a regular basis.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and who enjoys working as part of a team. They must have the ability to remain calm under pressure, but be fast and accurate in their work.

Previous experience in customer care or in a clinical setting would be beneficial.
