Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen to join the Velindre Medical Records Clinic Coordinator Team. The post holder will work as part of the Medical Records Team to undertake key duties including the coordinating of Velindre clinics. The post holder needs to be committed to achieving the highest possible standards to ensure the patient's experience of attending outpatients is positive and all the relevant clinical information is available to the clinicians.
You will work as part of a team with individual responsibility for providing efficient and effective clerical support for specific clinics and the completion of data recording, clinic outcome forms among other key duties.
- This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post. Main duties of the job
- Communicate with clinicians/medical secretary/nursing staff in making routine and emergency appointments.
- Make and take telephone calls from patients and relatives promptly and politely ensuring the callers' needs are clearly established
- Undertake reception duties as the first point of contact for patients attending outpatient clinics, receiving patients and checking personal and demographic details
- Using the Trust PAS system produce outpatient attendance lists one week in advance for future outpatient clinic
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
