Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Family Therapist for its new Children and Young People's Gender Service, a collaboration with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will lead family therapy clinics, providing specialized assessments and therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and their families. Key responsibilities include collaborating with partner agencies to develop integrated care plans and supervising clinical practitioners. Ideal applicants will demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality services, possess strong communication skills, and be organized in a multidisciplinary team setting. Flexible full-time and part-time positions are available, with some remote work options. As the family therapist in the service you will lead the family therapy clinic and provide specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions to children, young people and their families. You will have protected time specifically for family therapy. The role will also include liaison and engagement with a range of partnership agencies to ensure an integrated and coordinate care plan is provided. Experience of providing supervision to clinical practitioners will also be essential to this role.
Successful candidates will have a passion for delivering safe, high quality and effective services to children and young people and will be a strong communicator, committed and well organised, with the ability to work effectively as a senior clinician in a multidisciplinary team.
