Liaise with web developers and users about the functionality of the internet therapy programmes.
We are seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join the Oxford Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma research group, based in Paradise Square, Oxford.

You'll work closely with Professor Anker Ehlers on clinical trials of psychological treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder and social anxiety disorder and their dissemination into the NHS. Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, in collaboration with University of Oxford have received funding from NIHR Invention for Innovation to further investigate how Internet Cognitive Therapy for PTSD (iCT-PTSD) and Internet Cognitive Therapy for Social Anxiety Disorder (iCT-SAD) compare with current NHS psychological treatment as usual when delivered by NHS staff to patients with comparable presentations.

This role will provide excellent experience of randomised controlled trials, working with NHS services and would suit individuals interested in going on to pursue a career in clinical psychology or clinical research.

If you have a psychology degree, experience of conducting research to protocol and you've set up and managed large databases then we would love to hear from you!

  • Assist in the administration of clinical trials of internet-delivered psychological treatments for PTSD and social anxiety disorder and their dissemination into the NHS
  • Liaise with therapists and referrers (clinical services and GPs), and the Clinical Trials Unit
  • Liaise with research participants and arrange appointments for treatment trial assessments
  • Maintain databases for treatment studies, and monitor completeness of data
  • Liaise with web developers and users about the functionality of the internet therapy programmes
  • Assist with the creation of materials (videos and written materials) for the internet-delivered psychological treatments and training website for therapists as needed
