The Junior Sister / Junior Charge Nurse role at Barts Health NHS Trust's Cancer Assessment Unit (CAU) in London involves supporting the ward manager in leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective care to cancer patients. The post holder will oversee the team of registered nurses, nursing associates, health care support workers, and student nurses, ensuring collaboration with medical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team. Additionally, they will hold overall responsibility for the Chemotherapy Hotline service, ensuring it is well-resourced and effectively audited.

The post holder will support the ward manager in developing the team of registered nurses, nursing associates, health care support workers and student nurses in delivering safe effective care to patients within the Cancer Assessment unit (CAU) working in collaboration with the medical and wider MDT teams, ensuring a high-quality service to patients. The post holder will also support with the smooth operation of Chemotherapy Hotline service ensuring it is adequately resourced and audited.
