The role of MDT Coordinator / Cancer Tracker with NHS Scotland in Edinburgh involves collaboration with both clinical and non-clinical staff within cancer multidisciplinary teams in the Surgical Directorate. The postholder is responsible for ensuring the timely tracking and movement of cancer patients throughout their care journey, identifying barriers to patient pathways, and escalating issues as necessary. Additional duties include coordinating multidisciplinary team meetings, facilitating the collection and analysis of audit data to monitor patient care, and providing secretarial support to the Specialist Nurse team. The role requires membership in the PVG Scheme and emphasises a commitment to equality and reasonable adjustments for candidates with disabilities.
