Esland is seeking an experienced Senior Children's Residential Care Worker for Calvington House in Newport, offering a salary of £34,824 per year, based on an 8 sleeps per month schedule. The position involves a shift pattern of 2 days on, 4 days off, with 173 hours worked monthly.
Key Requirements:
- At least 12 months experience in children’s residential care.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

Salary: £34,824.00 per annum. (based on 8 sleeps per month and an hourly rate of £14.00 per hour). Opportunities to pick up overtime at enhanced rate.
Hours: 173 hours per month - shift pattern is 2 days on, 4 days off, with sleep in's. Rotas given in advance. We are a 365 day a year service due to the nature of our work.
Essential requirements for a Senior Children's Home Support Worker:
- A minimum 12 months experience in a children's residential care home
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- A full driving licence issued in the UK
- Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
- In depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
- Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
- Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above
