NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an enthusiastic, registered nurse for the role of Staff Nurse in the Ophthalmology inpatient department at Ward 1C, Gartnavel General Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based pre and post-operative care within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment. Applicants must have a live pin with the NMC UK, exhibit excellent communication skills, and demonstrate flexibility in their approach to patient care. While surgical inpatient experience is preferred, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

The position requires commitment to a shift pattern that includes both day and night duties throughout the week. NHS Scotland will implement a reduction in the full-time working week from 37.5 hours to 37 hours per week starting April 2024, with corresponding adjustments for part-time staff. The organisation promotes a culture of inclusion and encourages applications from diverse backgrounds, including the Armed Forces Community. Interested candidates are invited to apply and should contact Audrey Craig for informal inquiries.
