We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Senior Night Sister / Senior Charge Nurse to join our dedicated team at Moseley Hall Hospital. This role is vital in providing strong leadership, professional support, and ensuring high standards of care during night shifts. While primarily a night-shift role, attendance at some daytime training sessions will be required. If you have the skills, drive, and dedication to make a difference, we would love to hear from you! About The Role
As a Senior Night Sister / Charge Nurse, you will be a visible, accessible, and authoritative presence across our clinical areas. Patients, families, and staff will look to you for leadership, advice, and support.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Leadership and Governance – Ensuring professional standards, accountability, and timely management of complaints/incidents.
Safe Staffing and Workforce Planning – Overseeing resource management, ensuring safe staffing levels in line with SOPs.
Patient Safety and Experience – Enhancing care quality and working to reduce health inequalities. Supporting Junior Staff – Providing guidance on clinical queries and complex patient caseloads.
Performance and Operations – Overseeing service continuity, managing digital and IT issues during system downtimes.
Service Improvement and Transformation – Leading initiatives to improve care delivery and patient outcomes.
Out-of-Hours Senior Support – Being physically present at Moseley Hall Hospital and available via telephone to support West Heath Hospital (WHH), Community Unit 27 (CU27), Perry Trees Centre (PTC), and Anne Marie Howes Centre (AMH).
