An exciting opportunity has presented for a self-motivated and committed individual to develop their leadership skills in this management role. We are looking for an astute and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Guy's inpatient dispensary.
The post holder will assist the Lead Pharmacy Technician - Patient Services in the delivery and development of an efficient dispensary service in line with CQC standards, demonstrating comprehensive communication and leadership skills.
- Support and deputise in the Lead Pharmacy technician's absence
- Liaising with store's to maintain stock control including controlled drug medication
- Line managing a large team including Senior, Rotational Pharmacy Technicians and Assistant Technical Officers
- To manage the operational aspects of the dispensary service on a day-to-day basis in line with current KPI's
- Ensure that receipt, dispensing, checking, supply and delivery of medicines meet the pharmaceutical supply needs of the trust in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Weekly rota planning, focusing on individuals skillset
- Support and investigate dispensary RADAR's
- Supervising permanent and rotational staff ensure everyone adequately inducted (Training logs, inductions, mandatory training & continued support)
- To ensure optimum use of the Pharmacists who are allocated to dispensary duties via direct supervision, in order to provide a timely, effective and safe dispensary service.
