The Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join their East Durham Integrated Community Team based in Seaham. The role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities, providing psychological assessments, and implementing protocol-driven interventions under the supervision of a qualified Applied Psychologist. Ideal candidates should possess a psychology degree and some experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or mental health issues. The position emphasises compassion, organisational skills, and a commitment to quality improvement and positive representation of individuals with mental health challenges.

Key responsibilities include conducting structured psychological assessments, assisting in clinical audits, maintaining accurate client records, and contributing to the team’s goal of enhancing community mental health services. The position is full-time and requires independent travel across the locality to meet clients.
