Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to join the clinical team on Ward 8, a 28-bed general surgical ward at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Pontyclun. The role involves working under the direct supervision of registered nurses to provide essential patient care, including monitoring vital signs, while effectively communicating with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team. Candidates should possess good literacy and numeracy skills, and while prior care experience and Welsh language proficiency are desirable, they are not essential.

This permanent, part-time position offers a salary of £23,970 per year (pro rata) and is part of the NHS Wales family, which serves around 450,000 people across three County Boroughs. Informal visits to the ward are encouraged, and applicants requiring a Certificate of Sponsorship may also apply. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake training to achieve QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
