NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Health Care Support Worker for the Adolescent Inpatient Unit at Skye House in Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment and clinical interventions for young individuals facing mental health issues. The successful applicant should ideally have experience in inpatient settings or working with young people and families. Responsibilities include supporting nursing care programs using a strength-based and recovery-focused approach while collaborating with patients and other professionals under the guidance of Registered Nurses.
The position requires rotational long day/night shifts and involves the possibility of rotating between Skye House and the developing Adolescent IPCU based on patient needs. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support worker to join the team at our Adolescent Inpatient Unit in Stobhill Hospital in Glasgow. Skye House is a 24 bed ward, providing assessment and clinical interventions to young people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. The successful applicant will, preferably have experience of working in an inpatient setting and/or working with young people and families. You will work within a large multidisciplinary team, and play a key role in supporting young people in their recovery. The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the team in delivery of nursing care programmes using a strength based, recovery focused approach that proactively involves the young person. The post holder is required to be able to undertake duties, under supervision and direction of Registered Nurses, working in partnership with patients, carers and other professionals/ agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies. CAMHS services are currently developing an Adolescent IPCU and the successful candidate will be expected to rotate across Skye House and IPCU as required, to meet patient need.
