The Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to fill the role of Dental Services Manager starting April 1, 2025. This position involves operationally managing community dental teams across Cambridge, Ely, and Wisbech, with a focus on providing a wide range of dental services, including emergency care and minor oral surgery. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, experience in stakeholder management, and a proven ability to lead quality improvement initiatives, while fostering an inclusive team culture.

Due to retirement we are looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced leader to operationally manage our community dental teams in Cambridge, Ely and Wisbech. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment and manage daily changing priorities. They will possess excellent interpersonal skills, stakeholder management experience, ability to foster a culture of inclusion, be forward thinking and demonstrate experience in managing quality improvement initiatives.
The jobholder will join a team of established and developing leaders who work across a large geography with a supportive team approach. We encourage self development and offer a wide range of training opportunities.
Our dental teams offer a wide range of services including emergency dental, special care, epidemiology and minor oral surgery.
This is not a homebased role and the candidate will be expected to travel between locations.
To ensure the vision, purpose and objectives of the organisation is integrated into the service and team members’ objectives and appraisals reflect these priorities
To work closely with the General Manager and Leadership team in forecasting, planning, reviewing, and reporting on the contractual activity for the dental services
To be responsible for managing and developing the Locality Leads
Provide KPI management for area of responsibility in order that the Service meets its contracting requirements and local and national targets are met
To support the General Manager and Leadership team in the strategic planning for the service
Provide leadership and direction for staff as a team and individually, focused on the Service Plan and the needs of internal and external customers, giving clear and measurable objectives.
