The Children's Hospital Waiting List Co-ordinator at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is responsible for the effective management and administration of elective admissions, waiting lists, and admission services related to Children's Services. Key tasks include coordinating with surgical teams to optimize theatre list utilisation, communicating with families to facilitate patient booking, and ensuring adherence to local and national guidelines regarding patient pathways and Referral to Treatment (RTT) timelines. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage clinic slot availability, cancellations, and the recording of patient details as per the UHL Patient Access Policy.

In addition to managing waiting lists, the post holder will oversee necessary preparations for patient admissions, including special requirements and liaising with ward staff. The position aligns with the Trust’s strategic goals focusing on delivering high-quality care, fostering a supportive workplace, and promoting health equality while engaging with communities.
