The Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is offering a position for a Principal Clinical Psychologist (Band 8b, 26.25 hours per week) in Blackpool as part of the Children and Young People’s Psychological Service (CYPPS). The role is available either for a suitably experienced clinician at Band 8b or as a preceptorship from Band 8a to 8b for candidates with relevant experience needing further development. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with children and families, with a specialist interest in areas such as attachment, developmental trauma, or neurodiversity. As a senior clinician, the role involves leading clinical provisions, developing services, and evaluating outcomes, with a strong support system in place for professional development and supervision.

The position includes a £7,000 incentive for new candidates not currently employed within the Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care System, applicable from July 2024 to January 2025. The service provides a range of psychological therapies and collaborates closely with other local services, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care for children and young people.
