The role of Patient Flow Clinical Co-ordinator at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust involves overseeing safe, timely, and high-quality patient care within acute emergency clinical pathways. Reporting to the Matron, the co-ordinator will ensure effective patient flow throughout the Trust, providing senior nursing and allied health professional support out of hours. Key responsibilities include visible leadership, collaboration with operational and clinical teams, management duties, prioritisation of medical calls, and involvement in infection prevention and control initiatives. The role also includes supporting the Matron in serious incident investigations and participating in quality improvement efforts.
