NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a Primary Care Practice Educator to join their Community Treatment and Care Service (CTAC) at Treeswoodhead Clinic in Kilmarnock. This role focuses on enhancing the skills and knowledge of registered nurses and healthcare support workers, ensuring they can positively influence patient experiences and outcomes. The educator will be responsible for fostering a supportive learning environment, providing clinical support, and conducting evaluations of educational standards within the primary care workforce.
The ideal candidate will have experience in primary, community care, or general practice nursing, along with a passion for staff development. The position is full-time (37 hours a week) and fixed-term until September 2025, requiring a valid UK driving license and car ownership. The role emphasises collaboration within an integrated nursing team to deliver effective education and support to the CTAC workforce.

An opportunity has arisen for a Primary Care Practice Educator based at Treeswoodhead Clinic, Kilmarnock.
What You Will Do
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative individual to work as a Primary Care Practice Educator within the Community Treatment and Care Service (CTAC) in East Ayrshire HSCP.
This new role is primarily about ensuring registered nurses and HCSW are equipped to make positive impacts on the experiences and outcomes of patients and those who access health and care services in each HSCP.
As part of an integrated nursing team this will involve creating a practice learning environment which provides support, educational input and development activities and evaluation of standards of education and practice for the current and future primary care workforce

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
You will provide both face to face and indirect clinical support for the CTAC workforce and be able to provide backfill as required to maintain clinical skills and enhance their understanding of complexities across their HSCP area.
