An opportunity has arisen for a Practitioner Psychologist (Counselling or Clinical) to join the Adult Mental Health Specialty in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will support the continued development and provision of specialist psychological services to adults living in North Monmouthsire. We are looking for practitioners that share our values of compassionate and person-centred care and doing what matters.
This is an exciting time for Adult Psychology in Aneurin Bevan Health Board as we work to find innovative ways of increasing access to Psychological Therapies. The Mental Health Division has made improving access to psychological therapies a key priority. There are opportunities to contribute to the overall strategic intention of increasing service user voice through a range of initiatives including working in trauma informed and trauma skilled ways, developing peer mentor roles and using co-production as part of how we approach our work.
Psychologists contribute widely to Divisional and Health Board business including employee well-being, compassionate care interventions, Schwartz Rounds and Quality Improvement Initiatives as well as towards the development of innovative models of psychological care.

The successful candidates would be joining a busy, friendly and welcoming Community Mental Health Team as well as a cohesive Psychology speciality with a commitment to personal and professional development and a robust sense of professional identity. We have interests and highly specialist skills in a range of psychological therapies including CAT, DBT, MBT, EMDR and MBCT and welcome applications from individuals who are keen to further develop their clinical expertise and their team working skills. The roles provide an opportunity for newly or recently qualified psychologists to develop their skills in a safe, supportive environment surrounded by experienced senior psychology colleagues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
