Cencora is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Consultant to join its team at World Courier in Edinburgh. This position is integral to delivering high-quality service in the specialty logistics sector, focusing on advanced healthcare solutions.
Key Details:
- Shift Pattern: Full-time, 8-hour shifts between 07:00 - 21:30, Monday to Friday, with voluntary overtime on weekends. Initial probationary period of 6 months in-office only, followed by hybrid work (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
- Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, plus a 5% bonus and additional company benefits (private health care, pension scheme, life insurance, EAP, annual leave).
Responsibilities:
- Manage client inquiries and provide quotes.
- Monitor and update clients on shipment statuses.
- Input data into company databases and collaborate with global teams.
- Address customer problems and ensure compliance with policies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or pharmaceutical sectors is beneficial but not essential (training provided).
- Good education background (A levels/Highers or equivalent).
- Proficient in MS Office with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

You will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of customer service and client relations within a niche premium logistics company that provides unsurpassed knowledge, global reach and flawless supply chain execution. This is a complex and challenging role that requires creative thinking and a passion for providing extremely high-quality customer service.
The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills who is able to work constructively with colleagues in other departments and countries across World Courier’s network.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Starting Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
Bonus - 5% (on target bonus plan)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Receiving and dealing with client inquiries
- Providing quotes according to client specifications
- Monitoring, tracking and updating clients on the status of shipments
- Entering information into the proprietary databases
- Liaising with other offices to ensure shipments arrive according to customer requirements
- Demonstrating professionalism on the phone and in the office. Providing Excellent Customer Service to internal and external clients.
- Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
- Assists with customer problems such as delays, missing shipments, price adjustments; etc.
- Communicating with WC Sales to address client feedback, potential for new business, coordinating special orders, and providing quotations.
- Prior experience in, or knowledge of, working within the logistics, supply chain or pharmaceutical sectors would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
- A levels / Highers or equivalent education
- Good knowledge of computers and MS Office
- Excellent communication skills and proven problem solving abilities
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task as required
