The role of Assistant Psychologist (Offender Personality Disorder) at HMP Whatton is part of the ACORN Service within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, focusing on the treatment of individuals with personality difficulties and a history of sexual offending. This specialist service operates collaboratively with Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach to offering various therapeutic interventions, including Schema Therapy, EMDR, DBT, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The Assistant Psychologist will support assessments, co-deliver group therapy, and provide one-on-one therapeutic sessions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
