Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Support Worker for a fixed-term position in the Antenatal Clinic at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, exclusively for internal staff. The role involves supporting midwives in providing care to women and their families, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates should have experience as a healthcare support worker and the ability to perform general observations. The position is Monday to Friday, with working hours from 09:00 to 17:00, and willingness to speak Welsh is preferred.

The successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Main duties of the job
Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office’s criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed.
Applications are invited from Health Care Support Worker’s with good communication skills both written and verbal and who are committed to providing high standards of care for patients, their families.
Working hours 09:00-17:00 hours Monday-Friday (No bank holidays).
This post is Fixed Term/Secondment for 1 year due to the needs of the service.
If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
