The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and skilled practitioner to fill the role of Deputy Team Leader for the acute theatre in York. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience as a Band 5 theatre scrub, and will work closely with the Band 7 leader to provide exceptional patient care and facilitate continuous service development. Responsibilities include managing staff, coordinating the multidisciplinary team, and demonstrating high clinical competence. The role requires commitment to a rotating shift pattern and offers opportunities for professional development, with support from in-house clinical educators.

The position necessitates active involvement in service improvement and change management, as well as a strong emphasis on maintaining patient-focused care in line with Trust policies. Applicants must hold relevant professional registration (NMC or HCPC) and demonstrate solid organisational skills in a demanding environment.
