SCHOOL VACANCY
The Joseph Rowntree School is looking to recruit an exceptional, back office administrator, perhaps looking to broaden or re-direct their skillset by working closely with and supporting the School Business Manager, Finance Manager and Headteacher’s PA in a range of whole-school activities. This will include providing administrative support in areas such as finance, human resources / recruitment and staff induction, procurement support and health & safety reporting.
You must be a team player, be able to build relationships with all staff but also maintain strictest confidence, be dynamic and flexible, and want to seek out better ways of working. This range of activity has huge breadth, so you should have demonstrable experience in some of the key areas and be willing to learn new skills in others. You will work closely with subject matter experts but need to be able to thrive in getting on with tasks set. You will be given the freedom to set up and develop your own systems where appropriate.
You will be highly organised, utterly reliable and able to prioritise conflicting workload. You must possess very good ICT skills, be familiar with databases and different software packages, have an excellent telephone manner and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently both verbally and in writing.
Most importantly, you must have a positive approach, working in schools is hugely rewarding but can also be challenging, with no two days the same. We look forward to meeting you.
