The Velindre University NHS Trust in Cardiff is seeking a full-time Transcriptionist to join its Health Records team. The role involves essential tasks such as audio typing, scanning, and updating clinical information on the Welsh Clinical Portal, requiring strong audio transcription skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate will work closely with medical secretaries and clinic coordinators, ensuring that typing is completed in a timely manner. The post holder is one of a team providing an essential efficient and effective Health Records service. They will work within a team of and responsibilities will include audio typing, scanning and updating routine clinical information on Welsh Clinical Portal. Excellent audio transcription skills are essential.
The work is active and varied and requires a flexible approach.
Main duties of the job
Liaise closely with the medical secretaries, secretarial assistants and clinic coordinators.
Ensure routine typing is completed in date order unless otherwise instructed by the Medical Secretarial Manager/Health Records Manager.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
