NHS Scotland is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant for the Medical Director's office in Edinburgh, with a salary range of £29,116 to £31,670. This permanent Band 4 position involves providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Medical Director and Deputy Medical Director, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring effective communication internally and externally. Candidates should have substantial experience in a senior administrative role within a large organisation, accompanied by relevant secretarial qualifications or equivalent experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing a high level, professional and comprehensive administrative and secretarial support across a range of duties to the Medical Director and the Deputy Medical Director. They will take delegated responsibility from the Director for the day to day management function within their office, ensuring effective and diplomatic management of business through good management practice.
You must have significant experience of working in a senior administrative role within a large organisation supported by secretarial qualifications (SCQF Level 7/HNC level or similar) or gained through equivalent work experience. You must also have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and appropriately at all levels both internally and with external organisations.
