NHS GRAMPIAN
RELIEF PORTER/DOMESTIC ASSISTANT
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a relief porter/domestic assistant to join our team covering Inverurie, Huntly, Keith, Turriff, Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Buckie.
You will be required to work between the hours of Monday to Friday and on occasion during weekend, depending on operational demands.
Location: Aberdeenshire North
Band 2
Hours: 27.13 Hours per week
Duties will include
Transferring patients between various areas of the hospital
Ensuring the safe movement of medical equipment/medical gases
Transporting clinical waste and dangerous materials
Movement of Stores
Cleaning of clinical and non clinical areas in line with the National Cleaning Standards.
During the winter months, December through to March, there is a requirement to support the winter maintenance of the area by ensuring pavements and carparks are prepared for our staff, visitors and patients on site.
Must have the ability to carry out all aspects of the role safely. Good oral and written communication skills are essential to undertake this role safely.
As there will be a requirement to drive across our region candidates should hold a full driving licence and be confident to drive in all weathers. Pool car will be made available from base site. Please note successful candidates will undergo a PVG check.
Full training will be provided.
