Travis Perkins plc is seeking a Warehouse Assistant for their Loanhead branch, where the focus is on delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role involves various responsibilities such as loading and unloading vehicles, picking orders, and assisting customers at the trade counter. Candidates should possess a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and ideally have experience in a warehouse or customer service role. The role
Come and join our Loanhead team, delivering a great service to our customers. We have a lot of regular long standing customers together with the new ones and the ones we see less frequently - but we strive to deliver an exceptional experience to every single one of them.
Our Warehouse Assistants must bring a “can do” attitude along with flexibility - every day is different! One minute you will be loading vehicles ready for the drivers to deliver to a range of different places, other days you will be unloading huge supplier deliveries, picking orders or serving customers on the trade counter. In addition, in this branch you will support our colleagues working on the trade counter with face to face customer interaction. The role calls for someone who enjoys working with people and has the enthusiasm it takes to deliver more than just goods, but a fantastic service too.
The person
This is a customer facing role, the way in which you represent the company is just as important as the products you will pick, sell and deliver. A positive attitude and professional manner is a must. A confident customer focused demeanour is essential as is the passion to deliver a great service with your team colleagues every day. Ideally you will have warehouse experience or have a background in face to face customer service. But above all you will be personable, have a desire to learn and have a motivated work ethic.
