Job Purpose The Lung Cancer Tracker/ MDM Coordinator will work with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff in cancer multidisciplinary teams in Lothian and in the South East Scotland region To coordinate regular multidisciplinary team meetings (MDMs) for patients diagnosed with cancer(s) to ensure that the journey of each cancer patient runs smoothly and is progressed in a seamless manner.  Ensure delays in patient pathways are minimised and adhere to 62 and 31 day Cancer Waiting Times, take appropriate action and escalate to appropriate management team. To track the progress of each cancer patient. To record key data items to assist in monitoring the care of patients, that follow-up action is implemented and that information is relayed to the patient and the GP within the time frame stipulated.  To provide the data/information for weekly reports submitted to Senior Management Teams and Scottish Government.
