The Treatment Room Nurse position within the Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) service in Bow of Fife offers an opportunity for a Band 5 nurse to provide essential care in a GP surgery setting. Responsibilities include delivering treatments such as wound management, venepuncture, and injections while ensuring high standards of clinical care. The role requires excellent communication, time management skills, and the ability to adapt to changing demands as part of a multi-professional team. Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and possess relevant experience in a Primary Care environment.
The position entails flexibility to potentially cover other treatment rooms across Fife, as part of a wider service commitment. NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week, effective from April 2024, while maintaining current pay rates. Candidates must also be able to meet compliance requirements, including membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment. We are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity which has arisen within Fife Health and Social Care (H&SC) Partnership for a Band 5 Treatment Room Nurse to work within the CTAC Service within General Practice in the Glenrothes area.
You will be based within a GP surgery, working in clinics to provide care and treatment including wound management, venepuncture, compression bandages, doppler assessment, injections, and a range of evolving nursing tasks - ensuring clinical care and quality standards are met. The Treatment Room Nurse will provide safe, effective, and person centred practice to meet the needs of people in Fife.
You must possess excellent communication skills, time management skills, be adaptable to change and evidence continuing personal development
In applying for this role you will be an Adult/General Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
You will have the necessary skills and experience necessary to work within a Primary Care setting, to deliver high quality standards of care and be able to work as part of a multi-professional team.
You must have flexibility as may be required to cover other treatment rooms within Fife also, as CTAC is a Fife-wide service.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
