The Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) for the Transfer Team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for assisting with the safe and respectful transfer of patients between various hospital areas, including the Emergency Department, acute admission wards, and the Patients Discharge lounge. The role involves ensuring patient comfort and hygiene, providing necessary equipment, and communicating effectively with the multi-disciplinary team. Candidates must be flexible, completing initial training through the HCSW Academy and working a variety of shifts including long days and twilight shifts.
