The Band 7 Psychological Professions Practice Placements Manager at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for overseeing and enhancing education and clinical practice placements for Psychological Professionals. This role involves coordinating with Higher Education Institutions, service providers, and the NHSE-Workforce Training & Education Division to ensure high-quality training experiences for students. The manager will support assessors and supervisors in clinical environments, promote a student-friendly culture, and manage apprenticeships and pre-registration training programs, all while working closely with the Chief Psychologist and senior leads on workforce transformation projects.

This position primarily involves remote work with occasional attendance at Trust sites and focuses on project management, support, and delivery to expand training opportunities within the Psychological Professions. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to developing and retaining a skilled workforce in a diverse and culturally rich community, demonstrating a commitment to improving mental health services for the 70,000 individuals served by the Trust each year.
