The Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Non-Specific Symptom (NSS) pathway at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in East Grinstead plays a pivotal role in delivering and managing the Nurse Led Service within the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). This two-year fixed-term position, funded by the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance, involves collaborating with the clinical team and Lead Consultant to develop the NSS pathway. The specialist will be responsible for conducting assessments of referred patients, offering guidance, and facilitating investigations based on national guidelines, all while ensuring adherence to trust policies and NMC standards.

Additionally, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will serve as a resource for both patients and healthcare professionals, providing education and support throughout the diagnostic process, and ensuring timely communication of investigation outcomes. The role includes working with management to optimize service delivery and reduce patient pathway delays.
