NHS England is seeking a Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist to join their Digital Clinical Informatics team within the Transformation Directorate, specifically focusing on NHS Pathways. The role involves developing and maintaining clinical content for the NHS Pathways Clinical Decision Support System, which supports urgent and emergency care services, including NHS 111 and 999 telephony. The position requires the analysis of large datasets and clinical evidence to enhance the efficacy of the system, which triages around 25 million calls annually. The successful candidate will engage with various stakeholders, including national advisory groups and clinical forums, ensuring that the system remains clinically safe and aligns with NHS service requirements.

The role also includes collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team to drive continuous improvements in clinical advice and algorithms. Additionally, the Clinical Informatics Manager will undertake on-call responsibilities and contribute to the NHS transformation agenda, focusing on enhancing health services and reducing inequalities.
