Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Dietitian to join its acute and community dietetic team at Queen Alexandra Hospital, one of the largest hospitals on the south coast. This rotational position focuses on developing clinical and professional skills in areas such as oncology, stroke, and acute medical cases. The role includes structured competencies, preceptorship programs, and participation in clinical effectiveness projects.

Key responsibilities involve:

  • Providing dietetic input to patients within designated rotations.
  • Collaborating with fellow dietitians and multidisciplinary teams to prioritize referrals and enhance dietetic services.
  • Engaging in service review and development, while honing analytical and research skills.
  • Supporting and supervising dietetic students from partner universities.
  • Participating in various training programs for healthcare professionals.

Candidates must hold a degree or diploma in Dietetics (or be progressing towards one) and should be registered or working towards registration with the HCPC. While experience is preferred, newly graduating dietitians are encouraged to apply. The position offers flexible full-time and part-time options, with each rotation lasting six months.
