Indus Paper Boards Pvt Ltd is seeking two Personal Care Assistants for a part-time position supporting a young woman with learning disabilities in York, offering 13 to 23.5 hours per week at a rate of £14.30 per hour. The schedule includes shifts on Saturday (8 am to 4 pm) and Sunday (9:30 am to 2:30 pm), with the possibility of additional hours on a fortnightly basis on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 am to 6 pm, as well as coverage for holidays and sickness.

The role involves providing personal care, assisting with eating and drinking, and facilitating the young woman’s participation in social activities and community outings. Candidates must be physically capable of handling moving tasks, including pushing a wheelchair, and be enthusiastic and reliable. While prior experience is not necessary, training will be provided in key areas like personal care, moving and handling, and first aid. Female applicants are preferred due to the nature of personal care required. A driving license is beneficial, given the semi-rural location.
