The Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Access Booking Officer to join their Access and Booking Team in Ormskirk. This role involves supporting clinical services through call handling, processing referrals on the Careflow system, booking appointments, and coordinating outpatient services. The successful candidate will communicate with patients and healthcare providers, demonstrating respect and kindness while managing their workload efficiently. Full training will be provided, and a strong emphasis is placed on organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

Key responsibilities include managing outpatient appointments, ensuring compliance with national waiting time standards, and assisting with clinic administration tasks. The role requires good keyboard and communication skills, as well as proficiency in the Hospital Patient Administrative System. This full-time permanent position operates Monday to Friday, with a salary range of £24,071 to £25,674 per annum, aimed at achieving high-quality patient care within a supportive healthcare environment.
