The Independent Optometry Advisor is professionally accountable for all Wales General Ophthalmic Services (WGOS) (sight tests and eye health) delivered, across the local health board area. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Welsh Government and with health board senior managers and clinicians to achieve agreed outcomes including to implement the Future Approach to Optometry and contract reform.
