SCN Ward 402/4Cardiology / Medical Stepdown
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced, innovative, enthusiastic and caring Senior Nurse to become the Senior Charge Nurse within Ward 402 /403, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, working as an integral part of the Cardiology and Medical service.
A high level of interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are essential. You must be able to provide evidence of your professional development. Successful candidates must lead and participate in the ongoing development of services in Ward 402/403.
This is a challenging and rewarding post in which the successful candidate will take responsibility for facilitating and providing clinical leadership and ensuring the delivery of high quality nursing care to acutely unwell patients in this critical care environment.
Management experience and evidence of continuing professional development is essential. A genuine interest in the care of patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions is essential. Excellent leadership skills will be vital to develop the nursing team.
The successful candidate will be accountable for delivery of quality and service improvement to ensure the provision of safe and effective person-centred care. The candidate will also be expected to lead audit and support the Nurse Manager in taking forward the nursing standards set out in the NMC Code and NHS Grampian’s Plan for the Future reflecting the organisations values.
